Workshop Speltherapie met Michael Behr, deel 2.
Interaction in Play-Therapy Part 2 - “Interactive Resonance” in different modes of play. This course will be of interest to those who already participated in one of Michaels workshops. You should still work with children and young people and want to integrate and develop Person-Centred theory into your practice. Within the course, Michael will take up the thread on how interactive theories of the self can enhance our work. Again Michael will always clarify concepts through demonstration within the group. Participants are invited to bring toys of any kind so that, within the course, virtual play therapy rooms can be constructed. Different modes of play will be demonstrated including board games, fighting and setting boundaries, role play. The skills required in each of these modes are quite different from one another, and each of the modes will be introduced with short self-experience proposals, demonstrations and own experimental processes with the toys that will simulate play therapy processes. Again the workshop is experiential in nature and participants are invited to practice play-interaction skills. Discussion of how the learning processes within the course will integrate within each participant’s practice will be explored.
Educational Objectives Participants on the workshop will learn: 1. To feel at home in the different modes of play and to know how to respond from the person-centered approach in any mode of play. 2. How to switch from a classical non-directive Axline-oriented way of play session to a more interactive self-disclosing cooperative play. 3. To understand the process of interaction with children and young people and to look at problems on the level of interpersonal relationship.
